Child Study Team Evaluations
The evaluations will be completed using standard and valid assessments. The assessments utilized will ensure that they are culturally and racially sensitive. The evaluations will be completed by trained and certified staff members. The assessments will be conducted in the language and form most likely to yield accurate information on what the child knows and can do academically, developmentally, and functionally unless it is clearly not feasible to do so. The student will be assessed in all areas of suspected disability. Assessment tools and strategies that provide relevant information that directly assists persons in determining the educational needs of the student are provided. The evaluation is conducted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals consisting of a minimum of two members of the child study team. When evaluating each student with a disability, the evaluation is sufficiently comprehensive to identify all of the child's special education needs.
Special Education Consultation
We are mental health and special education specialists with many years of experience. We are a team of school psychologists and learning disabilities teacher consults who has worked in public school settings. We have served as supervisors and case managers when developing Individual Educational Plans (IEPs). We understand both Federal and State regulations. We provide special education consultation with public school districts and parents. We work on a collaborative basis to assist with developing special education programs. We observe special education programs and make specific recommendations when appropriate.
